Kanyashree Prakalpa 2013, a CCT scheme for improving the status and well being of the girl child in the state has been formulated by the Department of Women Development and Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal. The scheme aims at incentivizing schooling of all

out of which 48.11% are girls. The age group 10-14 years forms 9.3% of the total population
